Chakras, Emotions and Food Continued...

Q.  I previously did a reading on some of the chakras describing how emotions and food impact their energy. I wanted to continue on and do the remaining main chakras.

Crown:  As I focus on the crown I get peace and calm open this chakra.  Being in the moment and being present are some of the best ways to connect and help stimulate this chakra. For example, when you are walking, rather than just walk, think about the sky, texture under your feet, smalls, sounds in nature, etc.  This being in the present moment helps to open the crown.  It can be the same experience but evoke a different reaction within the body.

Lower vibe emotions tend to close the crown and create a distraction.  I also hear that living in someone else's moment  (reality tv, video games, etc) doesn't do much for you in terms of growing the crown chakra.

Fasting or intermittent fasting can be helpful with this chakra.  Try to avoid anything heavy or processed.

Solar Plexus: I get the best way to open this chakra is to process and release emotions.  Emotions and unresolved feelings are the biggest challenge in this area of the body.

Vibrant fruits help this chakra.  This chakra also looks to benefit from the sun, and also vitamin D.  Stay clear of refined sugars, corn or any type of corn syrup product.

Sacral: Arousing thoughts or loving emotions can be very stimulating to this chakra. Even the process of learning to love yourself or healing from trauma can help the energy there.  Negative thoughts or energy can close this chakra almost immediately, so be mindful of your thoughts.

Very dark chocolate with a high cocoa content looks to be powerful in this area.  Folic acid is also healing.  I also see that spicy foods such as peppers can stimulate this chakra. Some artificial sweeteners look to have an adverse effect on this chakra.

Root:  I see the root being stimulated through sound.  Drumming and deeper tones have a great effect on this chakra.  I see nuts and various seeds can also promote growth in this chakra.  Walking barefoot can also be positive.  Dairy looks to impact this chakra in an adverse way (if you have too much).

Breathwork looks to help balance this chakra.  Essential oils that are "woody" can also promote their energy (Arborvitae and Cypress).

And that is all I have for this reading.  If you have anything to add, please drop a comment below. Thank you.  Love and light, Lynn

Love the continuation of Lynn's advice on strengthening our chakras. We are constantly bombarded by fear driven news and politics, much of which we can do nothing about except being aware of the truth, but we must adopt a zen approach not to let these outer influences weaken our core or distract us from fulfilling our own life's purpose.

Thank you, Lynn. I liked both readings and I'll try to assimilate the information for myself.
I would also like to propose a third reading on another chakra: The Nabhi chakra or navel chakra. It does not take part on the traditional system of main seven chakras, but rather considered within a minor category among the 114 chakras of our bodies. However, Nabhi chakra is deemed by some yogic schools of high importance and put focus on the proper development of this energetic center.
What's the purpose of this chakra?, what is(are) the organ(s) associated to this chakra? and in the same line of your previous two readings, what practices or foods favors the opening of the nabhi and what tends to block it?

@Lynn

Thanks for the reading. How do you release the emotions in the solar plexus because everyone experience negative emotions everyday.

Can you give examples of 'vibrant food'?

@Cyber: The best way to release is through visualization. If you are able to meditate set the intent to lift away negativity. Water (ideally with Epsom salts) is a great way - either a bath or soak your feet to pull it out.

As far as foods... I see a lot of citrus (makes sure you eat the fiber not just the juice).
