Chakra Series: 6 of 9 / Throat Chakra

Hi everyone!  I'm back with my sixth installment of a new series I started called the Chakra Series.  I am hopeful you enjoy this mini education and can see how different chakras, or energy centers of the body can alter both physical and spiritual states.  I want to continue on sharing information, and how the use of crystals and even essential oils can help to reset the balance.

6 of 9:  Throat Chakra (Color: Blue) 
When I read for people, and the color blue comes up, I immediately start to look at the throat.  When the Throat Chakra is out of balance it can lead to difficulties in communication.  It could mean that you don't feel heard, you aren't being effective, or you have trouble verbalizing your thoughts. 

Other things with the throat can also result from this chakra.  Thyroid, metabolism, sore throats, chronic pain in the throat and neck can all be symptoms.  

If you have challenges relating to this area of the body, or you feel you are being held back in some way with regard to communication or language, you may consider working on this energy center.

Crystals:
Crystals can be a huge help either in meditating or just to carry/wear throughout the day.  There are a TON of crystals out there than can be beneficial in this area, but some of my favorites are:  Blue Fluorite, Blue Howlite, Blue Tourmaline and Aquamarine.  

(Helpful Hint:  When you know you have to do something in which you have to communicate well, such as a speech, interview, deep discussion, etc, wear blue, and put a crystal in your pocket).

Oils: 
Suggested doTERRA oils that enable you to open and connect to this chakra are Ylang Ylang, Spearmint and Lavender.  You can apply them to your throat, or diffuse them throughout the day.
