Tattooing and Health Impacts

Q.  Hi Lynn, I have a question about the health consequences of tattooing. During the past couple of decades tattoos have spread in the West to the general population, first as a fad in the youth, but lately tattooing has become a widespread rage. Of course, the tattoo process itself involves some risk if hygiene is poor or if nerves, etc. are injured. However, once a person is tattooed, it’s a long-term risk.  Some tattoo pigments are probably natural and widely bio-compatible, others more toxic such as artificial pigments, metals, etc. I suspect some may burden the immune system causing allergies, inflammation or worse. Interaction with nuclear or electromagnetic radiation (5G, etc.) may also be a matter of serious concern.  Thoughts?

A.  As I focus on tattoos, for the most part they do feel to be safe.  I do see there being some instances where people may use subpar ink or poor hygiene with equipment, and that has and will always pose a risk for infection.  As prices rise on all kinds of things, be cautious of ingredients in cheaper inks.  It would be advisable to ask the artist what type/brand of ink they use, and do a little research before putting it in your body.  Cheaper inks do feel to have metallic components, and the heavy metals look to be very irritating to the body in the long term.

I do see that newer type of ink is coming out (maybe this exists now??) in which there are metallic or glowing/UV reactive in appearance, and THOSE do feel to be somewhat toxic and can trigger an immune response.  They use some kind of chemical infused in the skin that you cannot eradicate. Those category of inks feel concerning and even if the person doesn't have an immediate reaction, they could develop a sensitivity.

Always remember to ask questions, get referrals and do your research.

And that is all I have for this reading.  Stay safe and stay educated.

Love and light,
Lynn

Only people willing to spoil the pureness that God created in them would want to tattoo themselves. It should be regarded as a cardinal sin, desecrating the divine beauty that God created in mankind.

The only exception would be tattoos that serve to increase beauty rather than destroy it. But those are very rare exceptions. Most serve to strengthen the identity of morally and intellectually weak people, who feel like they have to attach their ego to a symbol etched onto their skin.

I once read that tattooing could also damage the tissue in the acupuncture points, making hard or impossible to stimulate of the ch'i energy to flow through certain body meridians.

Traditional tattooing is still being done in the Philippines, using natural materials such as charcoal and bamboo. It symbolizes rank for the indigenous people.

It has since become a tourist attraction where people journey to a remote part of the country and have themselves marked in this special way.

@enlightened one: I don't mind tattoos. I think they are a personal decision. I relate it to piercing ears, coloring hair, etc. I do think our bodies are a temple, and that is why I think health is so important.

@Javier: I had not heard that. I'm not sure how I resonate with this.

@Ice: Interesting...

Lynn's read on the new "ink" being dangerous is very alarming and sadly sound like part of "their" plan to control us.

In the West as a twenties something it can be cool nowadays to get tattoos. But there are potential risks - not only for physical health, but also for psyche, career and social relations. Add a few more decades, then the tattoos may have become smudged and be more of a nuisance with which one no longer identifies. Potential employers may be displeased, and some kinds of jobs (modelling, sales, public office, etc.) may be off limits. In conflict or military situations some tattoo symbols may be particularly dangerous for their bearers. In a family setting it could be tougher to raise balanced children if the parents set a bad example with immature, coarse or demonic tattoos.
