Q. I sense that you sometimes spare us many of the darkest or most painful details of the readings you do. I know much of what you see is violent, depressing, what most of us would call negative. I know that doing readings and using your gifts is not at all new for you, so I was wondering how you have learned to cope with all of this heavy information, and if you have advice for us for the times when we find out things that are painful or hard for our spirits and our minds to deal with. What is your perspective on this? How do you cope? Do you have any advice for us on how to stay positive and how to work through the things we are learning without becoming depressed or anxious?
A. When I'm doing a reading I do encounter situations that can be difficult. I have done many readings, and have had to develop ways to understand and relay information without allowing it to weight on my after I'm done. It is true that it is much easier said than done, but it something I've worked on, and continue to work on (I'm not perfect).
Environment can help. I keep a Zen space to do readings. I am surrounded by LOTS of crystals and orgonite. I typically hold at least a clear crystal quartz while doing each reading unless I have a nudge to grab something else. Don't underestimate the vibration of crystals.
One of the most important thing is to before doing a reading is set mental protection or say a mantra to yourself before each reading, regardless of the topic. The helps to create boundaries and protect your space for what or who is about to come through.
As I tune into bigger topics such as human trade, scandals in politics or beer bug issues they do evoke a negative energy. During the reading I am very in tune to what it going on, and empathetic emotions can be triggered. I've worked to view these events like I'm experiencing them through a movie rather than first hand, and at the end the "movie" is done and I have to clear and detach myself. Occasionally something lingers, but once I get an awareness I consciously make an effort to detach (tell myself I don't identify or own what I see, I'm just relaying information). IF that isn't enough and I'm carrying something that touched me so hard I cannot shake it, I go outside and physically ground myself by being in my yard or taking a walk. Nature can have a very calming and detoxifying effect with regard to negative energy.
The most difficult situation are usually ones that involve loved ones, especially children. I recently had a reading in which someone had questions for their mother that was in spirit, and even though I set protection this mom came through so strong, and with such a beautiful message that I delivered the message in tears. Even though I am the conduit for relaying information, I'm still hearing and feeling what is being delivered. After the reading was over, I was able to take a few breaths and clear myself.
There have also been times I've had to relay bad news. I remember a situation where a child was missing. She was a young lady and couldn't be located so they reached out to me for help. I immediately saw that she had connected with some bad people and was working as a prostitute in exchange for drugs. It was heartbreaking to deliver this information to the parents. At the end of the reading I took a few breaths and kept telling myself that this is all in the greater good. They had to know. In the end it was a blessing because I was able to provide enough information that they retrieved their daughter and got her in rehab. It may have saved her life.
All in all I have learned to trust what comes through and relay it. It may be dark and it may be heavy. It if to too much, or not right to share, I will intuitively know. Otherwise, it is ok and in the greater good. When I'm done I just have to let it go and visually detach. It is sometimes easier said than done, but it does become easier with time.
And that is all I have. Thanks! Love and light, Lynn

Thanks Lynn for all that you do! Having a great gift also has a great price, but all of us that are seeking answers and the truth become aware the darkness that's been ruling much of the world and it's hard to live with this knowledge, which is exactly why most people bury their heads in the sand to avoid hearing about it. But in having a deeper awareness of the dark forces that manipulate us, it's even more important to be aware and focus on the greatness of humanity and the wonders of the world and history, science and art that have been kept from us and to live with optimism and confidence that Light will prevail over darkness.
@Robert: Thank you so much. I appreciate the comment!
