Patreon/SubscribeStar: Interesting Cow Behavior

Q.  Lynn, I found an interesting fact out there that has scientists baffled.  Apparently cows face north and south while eating or resting.  Why?
"Animals have some unique behaviors, but perhaps none more so than cows. Cows have a behavior that science has yet to explain. According to German researchers, cows have a tendency of facing north or south when grazing or resting. A study of satellite images of more than 8,000 cows showed that cows face the same direction when eating."

Obviously, scientists have never stood out in a cold field when the sun is shining. Cows turn their sides to the sun to maximize solar exposure, as it makes the milk more nutritious. When it's hot, or they're trying to avoid satellite detection, cows rest in the shade under trees. Scientists on the other hand often forget to eat or drink or go out in the sun at all and eventually die of anemia and depression, or heatstroke in summer, dying in ever-greater numbers for a number of silly reasons that cows avoid, scientists wondering about the meaning of life as they expire. Poor scientists.
