I'm trying to avoid being tagged, so bear with me here..
Q. The shutdown...was like two kids on a playground in the midst of a fight and both in over their heads and neither willing to compromise or back down. I live in a border state. Do we really need a "vertical structure," or will other enforced barriers, electronic security or otherwise be more effective? Why are so may people against "emma-gration" enforcement. So many homeless in our own country are in need of help. I am so tired of being manipulated by the media. What do you see?
A. When I focus on this, it does feel like a calculated game of chess. Each side is trying to forecast the move of the other side, and plan a strategy to ensure they each get what they want, and inversely the other side gets defeated. There is little to no joint effort, and this isn't an issue of "vertical structure" versus no "vertical structure," it is an issue of the left versus the right and making sure "Trumpet" isn't able to use this as a "win" in the upcoming campaign. If it gets built it gives him a huge platform to run on and is one more thing he can claim that he accomplished.
The phrase "enforced barrier, electronic security, etc" are things the left feel they need to say, because they do care (to some extent which I will get to), but they cannot and will not give "Trumpet" a victory without a fight. To say no to everything is a signal to the people that they do not care, so they cannot go that far, and these other methods are concessions that they are able to make. Basically pacify the people and make it as hard on the right as possible in the process.
Do the "vertical structures" work? Simply, yes. I hear that "Some times things become outdated, and sometimes things withstand the test of time. "Vertical structures," have been used since the onset of civilizations, BECAUSE they work." They do work. The left knows, the right knows, other countries using them know, it is really about blocking Trumpet from getting what he wants.
To piggyback on the "caring to some extent comment above," many donors and lobbyists that support Washington reside in Cali (one of the biggest sanctuary areas). They also have companies that rely on said workers for cheap labor, so they want to ensure they continue to flood the border with ease. There are other pockets of wealthy people doing the same thing, who make lots money on the sweat of these people.
The secondary reason they promote undocumented people is to attempt to grow a new and loyal voter base. I get some are starting to see this for what it is as Trumpet try to pass a deal giving them rights and the left declined it. The goal would be to get them here, AND get them voting, which wasn't part of the deal.
In the end, the only real way to ensure their rights is to bring them here legally to prevent abuse which protects both them, AND the citizens from people who do come here with the intent to do harm. In some ways they are a victim in this, they just don't realize it.

Did I miss where some time in the past you explained why you refer to Trump as 'Trumpet'?

I only refer to him this way as I am trying not to get flagged, and it was the fastest thing I could rattle off. No good or bad, just altering the "name"
Actually it’s the perfect name and I think it happened for a reason. When I read this my mind went to a prediction by Nostradamus. He talks about a man/leader that is similar to trump and says “trumpet”
Here is some of his sayings:

I personally think Nostradamus’s predictions came from different timelines too. Almost as if he could tap into various ones, so some of his statements seem a little different (if you read all of them).... but some of what he says about the trumpet on this timeline seem accurate 😉
The liberals aka clint0n minions cant rest - now they want to investigatee trumpet’s inauguration costs! Corrupt killary was taking bribes worldwide - no one thought to investigate them. The media unfairness and biasness irks me.

I think this is short sighted and biased. Blessings to you all as there is a lot more going on that that crazy wall, that is the distraction to keep people from noticing the reality.
I have seen Trump referred to as Trumpet in other media.
I always thought it was appropriate for him. He has a big personality, he is a large man and he has been vocal and unrelenting, trying to get his objectives accomplished.
Trumpets are loud and so is Trump. He tweets about 5 or 10 times a day.
I don't like the way he treats his wife, or at least what I perceive about their relationship; but I like his message and what he is trying to accomplish.
This poster is absolutely nuts. you dont think we need a wall? you want open borders? you are part of the globalist powers that were if you want that.
@MediumBrian: I'm not sure to whom you are referring.. For the greater good of the country and people on both sides of the border, I do get we need one and they are effective..
