As someone who likes sweets, I have to come up with ways to counter the effect of sugar. It's better not to consume it but if you do, consuming apple cider vinegar afterwards seems to help,
That is true. Actually if you drink it beforehand (dilute in water so I doesn't hurt your tooth enamel) it will slow the absorption of sugar in your body so it doesn't spike and drop as much. You will still have an insulin response, but it isn't as severe. Sugar really is an addiction, and if you do chose to break away it does get easier and you will lose that craving. People crave the dopamine response to sugar, not the sugar itself. If you liver is satiated with healthy fats you will also lose hunger feelings. I'm happy to help educate anyone. I'm sort of obsessed with health and how the body works. That's what inspired me to get the route of being a Health and Wellness Coach. I just helped my neighbor lose over 50 lbs.
I recommend everyone go to Lynn's pay site to see her advice. Maple syrup and a good Yogurt like Fage will satisfy any sweet tooth. I'll add if anyone knows someone who has cancer now, that !vermect!n and fenbend@zo!, a dog dewormer, is supposed to be a powerful cure.
I would caution against using Stevia if you are in your child bearing years, it’s used as a form of birth control in certain countries.
Wow, 50lbs? Is that just from stopping sugar? I admit, I've been battling with sugar addiction most of my adult life, although I am slim (5'6" 140), sugar does more than just make you gain weight. I know when I've had too much sugar because my scalp and my feet start itching, no doubt from the candida growth. Also not good for teeth either.
Yes, sugar and teaching how to read food labels. I'm happy to work with anyone, but it is a lifestyle change and you won't regret it. Diets don't work.
I've heard good things with IVR as well. I would shy away from maple syrup- it spikes insulin and stops ketone production. Honey is good, but sparingly b/c it will do the same things. Both are the lesser evils, but will still trigger a hunger. Greek yogurt can be good, but check the carbs. Also NO splenda or any other fake sugar names..
That's interesting... I've grown it and used for a long time. I had not ever heard that. I use monk fruit too and it tends to be more gentle with digestion.
