Let's Have Some Fun this Thanksgiving Weekend!

As we dive into the Thanksgiving holiday, it’s easy to get swept up in the hustle of planning, organizing, and traveling. Let’s hit the pause button for a moment. Take a deep breath and think about a few things you’re truly grateful for this season. A little gratitude goes a long way in grounding us during this busy time!

Here’s a fun exercise to add a little spark to your day.  Check out this meme that’s been making its way around.  Spot the first three words that stand out to you. These words might just offer a little insight, inspiration, or a reminder as you head into a weekend full of food, family, and fun.

So, what words or phrases did you find? Share them in the comments, and let’s reflect together!  Mine were: I am Guided, I am Calm and I am Inspired.

God Bless,

Lynn

I got Calm, Grateful, Strong.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone - I've been passing by this site for so many years, we all used to wonder when it was all going to happen. No-one's asking that anymore, lol!

The thing I am most grateful for this year is something I happened upon in the middle of January, and have been following ever since. I found sites that aggregated location webcams, so you'd have 15 second glimpses into multiple towns, cities, resorts, cityscapes, one after the other, over and over, on a long repeating loop. There are all sorts of varieties - Europe, UK coast or USA cities, or worldwide, or just Venice or Greek islands, Swiss Alps, even transportation depots!

I'd keep them in the corner of my screen as I worked, and each day I'd see the places and people as they went through their days, then their seasons, and now a whole year.

I saw beautiful old town squares fill with folk festivals, bike races, funfairs, concerts, demonstrations. I saw beach tourism rise and die off again, and now the skiing resorts are gearing up for winter and northern towns are building their ice rinks.

They webcam collections are so varied, and just watching people on all continents 'peopling' their way through the year has been incredibly moving to me. It's a great way to just sit and contemplate the unity of the species - especially as the big news stories and psychopathic regimes do their thing.

Of course when I started watching in January, it was the deadest emptiest time of year. There was hardly anyone about, too cold and broke from Christmas. Now it's come full circle, and I want to leave some suitable links for you to dip in and out of over the next few weeks. (Mute the music, it's usually awful)

Happy holidays!
