Have you heard of the upcoming strike in the shipyards? Workers are growing tired of stagnant wages and are demanding more money. If a deal cannot be reached then they threaten to go on strike.
Many businesses are preparing for the strike by prebuying and shipping things prior to October 1st. Some are using alternative ports and moving goods via trains to where they need them to be. There is rightfully people in a panic and trying to figure out how to deal with this.
What will that mean for us?
Watch inflation spike and once the storm is over, the prices will remain high to recapture lost revenue and secure more profits. Just like the beer bug gave many manufacturers the ability to gauge consumers (and prices remained when the farce was realized and life regained some normalcy), this will do the same thing. They love excuses to charge more, and this could be justifiable in the near future as the ability to get goods will be difficult as supply chains break down. I honestly would not be surprised if they are intentionally NOT making a deal so they can manipulate the cost of goods and keep prices high. Like most things, the strike won't last forever, and once it is over I sense the costs will remain high and slowly dip, but never get back to where they are now.
We need a real change in this country. We need to make our own goods, supply our own gas and grow our own food. We are so far removed from taking care of our needs that we become vulnerable to outside factors. God, please help us.

More doom and gloom, which is why I never watch TV news. Why is this Union issue politically timed right before an election that seemingly would hurt the Democrats that normally control the leader of major unions? Will it be resolved to make Harris and Dems look better or get worse so people demand Trump who knows how to negotiate to fix things? Maybe all the war rattling and conflict is because people are sick of an unreality nobody voted for, another way of saying slavery.
Along with the shipyard strike, you have the devistation from the hurricane that will drive up prices in building materials to rebuild Florida and the state’s that sustained damage. During Covid 2x4’s went from $3.50 a board to $20.00 a board. We’ll see the same price gouging along with increased insurance premiums. Many people will not be able to rebuild or afford new accommodations.
You are so right and the reality show will just get worse over the next month. I'm ready for it to be done so we can just see the state of affairs (good or bad) and know what to do.. I'm so glad I am in the country (even though we lost power with the storm and didn't get it back till yesterday - solar is great when you have sun, not so much during a storm so we had to get the generator out, lol).

Sorry for losing power, Lynn, which we went through for 2 days the last storm system that came through. I smell a Trump victory in which DS Dems want to hand the Country over to him the same way they got it from riots and Covid after stealing 2020

I don't think water baptism is legitimate though. I do believe we must be baptized with the holy spirit but I think the water baptism was slipped into the bible and is part of Mithras worship.
I think it is symbolic... and I think there are lots of overlap within the different faiths out there..
