The Case of the Stolen Tower

Q. Hey. who stole this 200 foot tall radio tower in Alabama?

https://nypost.com/2024/02/07/news/radio-station-baffled-after-200-foo

A.  I must say this is a pretty good prank.  Imagine being the guy showing up to work and the tower is literally gone and the only thing remaining are the guy wires cut up and all over the ground.  I'm sure that was an interesting phone call into the boss... (You have to laugh a little..)

Anyways, on a more serious note, back to the tower.  I think this was more than just crack heads looking for metal to recycle.  This feels to be orchestrated by some high up people.  I sense this job was commissioned by some very well-to-do and influential people that had a bone to pick with this radio station.  It was a message of sorts, and a wake up call.  I am not sure if it stems from a lobbying agenda, advertising or overall message, but this feels to be rooted with some kind of agenda that wasn't being supported.  I'm curious if this station orients with a more conservative tone??

I have to think the higher ups at the station know who is behind this, but cannot speak freely on it.  The station definitely got the message loud and clear.  These entitled elites are ruthless and have no care in what they do as long as they get their way.  In many ways toddlers have a higher maturity level. Very sad.

Blessings,

Can't find anything about the politics of the station, but the timing seems connected to the 2024 election, and perhaps a warning to other broadcasters in swing or close to swing states not to be too ambitious in reporting the truth. It could also be a strong arm tactic to local stations which are being bought up by large corporations like Clear Channel wanting to control every outlet's news and music, which destroyed the indie music industry as far as radio only playing crap, so imagine the news they report is the same.
