Coincidences

Q.  I have a question about small coincidences that happen to us. Recently I had a medical appointment for my child. I thought it was at 2:30pm, but I learned that day it was at 12:30pm. In a crazy coincidence my son called and said he was done with summer camp at 11:00am.  I picked him up and made it on time. I mean what are the odds and why we have these "small coincidences "happen to us?

Thank you.

A.  I love this question. This is a perfect example of how the Universe or God aligns us to do or be where we need to be at the right time.  We use the term coincidence, but in reality these situations happen to keep us on the right forward momentum and help validate our actions.

I realize this is a simple answer, but it truly is that simple.  When you have a moment like this in your life, pause and have gratitude.  The more humble and grateful you are, the more these "coincidences" will happen (like getting a front row parking spot in the rain).  Not all may feel positive, but when you have a negative emotion, think what you may have been protected from (such as running late and hitting a red light, but avoiding a ticket or accident).  Everything works out perfectly in Divine mind.

If you have a "coincidence" to share, please leave a comment.

Blessings,
Lynn

I was driving to my job years ago on the expressway and I wasn't paying attention for some reason when suddenly I found myself driving in the wrong lane...instead of crashing into traffic my car magically drove "through" a car that I was beside...I couldn't believe my lucky stars ✨

Plus I felt like the molecules changed for my car to just magically pass through another car as if we were spirits

I had a coincidence, almost like Margaret. But different, I was driving at 40ish and I was in my head, thinking and listening to music that I didn't notice that there was a red light ahead of me of an intersection where the toll expressway ends. I didn't notice it until I ran the red light. When I noticed and snapped back to reality I had to pull over because I was shaking like a leaf. I was lucky enough because there were no cars or semi trucks. I could have died or even killed someone. I have a 2 year old so I got super scared, scared because she is too little to be without a mom. After that incident I am now more aware, I don't go on auto pilot while driving, although I still think I never left myself to get that far into my thoughts. I gave thanks to god because I really think he prevented a tragedy from happening, and there were no cars/semis at the at time.

These are great examples! Thanks for sharing! I think this happens more than we know.

Synchronisities is the holy spirit at work and that's how you know that Jesus is working in your life. Simply ask Jesus to come into your life and always find something to be thankful for. I read a war book once where the nuns were imprisoned and the head nun was praying and finding things to be thankful for when the others were asking why they had to be thankful for fleas. The head nun said that the fleas were keeping the Japanese away from them at night .

@margaret I read of an incident on a bridge when something happened and a truck was flying towards these people in a car. The people expected to be struck dead by the truck but they seemed to fly over and land safely on the other side with the truck behind them
