A. In looking at this, I get there is a way bigger plan. He felt somewhat desperate to get in this position and see that he was approached by some powerful people pressuring him to run for Speaker. Kevin feels to have been willing to do whatever needed done to get this position, and that is why he was willing to make so many concessions.
Being Speaker is a powerful role in the event that the President and Vice cannot fulfill their role. The Speaker then becomes in charge (and the voice of the Powers That Were). These "powerful people" need someone they can influence in light of the past few years performance of this administration in addition to the Supreme Court case that could potentially undo a lot of agenda by stripping current politicians of their role. (I don't see the Supreme Court actually undoing it all, but *finger's crossed* something great and just happens).
I also predicted that in 2023 Biden will get a variation of the beer bug and the Powers aren't happy with Harris. They don't have a good far left candidate for 2024 and the incumbent has a lot to be desired. They are already preparing for who they want in charge and coaching a new person.
This will be very interesting and time will truly tell how this pans out. The plot is thickening!

The unprecedented number of votes to make McCarthy Speaker shut down Congress for 4 days, the very time a massive raid on drug cartels occurred that might suggest this was all planned. At the beginning of this period, Trumpet posted on Truth Social that when he's reelected he would crack down on Drug dealers and that's exactly what took place during those four days in Mexico on raids in Mexico that got the arrest of El Chappo's son. This suggests that members of the House like Schiff and others couldn't be trusted with information on this raid because they would let the cartel know. Pelosi was known to meet with the leaders of the drug cartel which may have been "donating campaign money" to certain House members for protection.
