SubscribeStar: Mystery Illness Encephalitis Lethargically

Q.  I don’t know if you’ve ever looked into the disorder named encephalitis lethargically. It developed after the flu epidemic in 1916. It came on gradually and left patients trapped in their bodies. The movie Awakenings was loosely based on it.

What was the real cause of this sleeping sickness? Why did it die out? Was a solution ever found for it?
