Passing of Pets

Q.  Hi Lynn , Can you please tell us what happens when one of our dearly loved pets passes?  I worry about who is there to meet them on the other side, especially if they were a solo pet?  Do they 'hang around' us like human spirits sometimes do?

Many thanks.

A.  As I focus on a pet passing, I see it much like a person.  When they are ill or near transition, they do teeter between the 3D and spirit world.  They get glimpses and can see other pet friends from this or past lives that haven't reincarnated and are still in spirit.

When a pet suddenly passes, they may not have the "teetering" effect, but they do enter the spirit plane in the same way.  They are greeted with people and/or pets from their history.

I get when pets pass and are in spirit, they too see a white light.  They can chose to go to the light, or stay around and watch over.  Interestingly, if/when they go through the light tunnel and reincarnate their memories are wiped, BUT they are able to regain past knowledge easier because their subconscious and rational minds don't work in the same way as humans.  They don't have the ego or rationalizations at play.  Thing are what they are.  For this reason, pets are VERY intuitive and sense/see energies.

Really great question!  Thanks so much for the suggestion!

Love and light,
Lynn

  1. I always felt that animals had past lives because a lot of their behavior can't be explained as just characteristics inherited through DNA.

  2. I know my cats have hung around a while after their passing. I see them peripherally and/or hear/see signs of their usual daily habits. I imagine they're waiting for their humans to meet up with them on the Other Side. 💕

I've read that domesticated animals are more spiritually advanced than those in the wild because of their close interaction with us. I don't know what I think about that; in many ways animals are superior to us in that they mostly only hunt for sustenance, not hate or meaningless aggression.

  3. When my pet passed away, we could still smell & feel her sometimes at home, while we were driving, going to the park (which she had come with us before) and I even asked her to help communicate with rescued dogs that didn't want to shower (was volunteering).

2 months after she passed away, my bro dreamt she was going to "work" with a lady (looks like an angel with fire torch), someone who guides spirits in between Earth and the other dimension.

  4. This was my question! Thank you so, so much for answering it, Lyn! :-) X

I've had an absolutely devastating past few months, with the loss of two cats and two dogs. One of my dogs just went to the vet as she was a bit off her food; turns out she was in the advanced stages of cancer! (And obviously masked her symptoms well). She came to visit me in a dream a few weeks ago which was so, so real ... normally in my dreams I can't 'feel' what I'm touching, but I could her. I hope she comes back to visit again soon.

It's so hard losing a pet ... especially when you don't get to say goodbye to them properly (one of our cats was so sick that she passed away at the vet's overnight, while waiting to do tests the next morning).

    Thanks again Lyn.

I really hope I'll see my treasured pets again one day.

    X

  5. Do you notice that domestic animals seems to be a lot smarter now, some acts so much like human. I feel it has a lot to do with ascension as well, just like human...

  6. @Robert: I agree. They are such cool beings too.

@Weeze: Really good point. They are so present in the moment without distraction.

    @MJ: Oh wow!

@Blackbird: Thank you for sharing. I am so sorry for your loss. Hugs to you.. .

@Celestial: I would agree. They are very intertwined with humans.

  7. I recently lost one of our cats. I have deep regrets about it because I know I neglected them for a time due to worldly problems. I resorted to feeding them dry food constantly until one of them developed ascites (fluid retention in the abdomen) and by the time she stopped eating, it was too late. It's caused by dehydration and too much sodium.

I feed our remaining cats fresh food always from then on.

She's not around anymore and I see where she used to be everywhere in the house and I'm devastated that she is no longer with us. She doesn't deserve an early death, nor to be at the receiving end of the burdens humans go through.

I keep imagining she's playing with animals who are on the other side, and freely flying around as a ball of light, no longer confined to our small living space. She gave us joy, comfort, laughter, companionship, and hope. I'm hoping she is at peace wherever she is.

I'm sorry. We love you so much. Thank you for being with us.
