Bruce Lee

Q.  Hi! I have another idea for the blog. I’ve always liked Bruce Lee. He was famous for his amazing martial arts skills. When I saw him hit the ping pongs back across the table with his nun-chucks I was beyond impressed. (Here’s a video below )

His death was a bit of a mystery. He died young and there are some rumors about how it happened. Some people think he was taken out because he didn’t want to “turn to the dark side.” Or, that he had an accident with his muscle training device (it may have caused heart problems?). What makes the situation even more strange is the fact that his son died as a young adult too. He was killed during the filming of The Crow. Turns out the stunt gun wasn’t supposed to be loaded with real bullets... and it was. My friend commented that maybe the family was cursed.

I know it’s quite possible that he died from natural causes, but I thought it would be interesting for you to look into it. Maybe you could see what made him unique? (Was he able to tap into something, like enlightenment, that made him really good at martial arts?) And maybe you could see happened with him and his son (at the end).

A.  When I focus on Bruce, I don't just see his health issues, but see him as a whole spiritual being.  I get he had the drive and ambition that exceeded most people.  He was also very hard on himself, but his perfectionist standards are what helped to excel and become known for his tremendous skill.

His perseverance did create situations where he pushed his body and he worked at 110%.  I see that with regard to diet and training, he took good care of himself, but he was not good about allowing for a proper recovery time should he injure himself.  I hear the phrase "rest was not in his vocabulary."  He often found himself either taping, bandaging, bracing or drugging himself (anti-inflammatory) in order to cope with the pain and push forward.  He was not a fan of doing this, and it didn't make him proud, but it was necessary in order to progress.  I see him as someone that always had a goal or a project, so he did what he felt he needed to do.

It looks like when he was barely 30 he was dealing with a neurological injury that resulted from a physical injury.  He tried to counteract the injury and pain tied to it with anti-inflammatory medications.  Not only did he become somewhat numb to them, it started to effect his liver as well.  He began having to take larger amounts to yield the same result, and they really starting to hurt his system and also made his immune system weaker.

Fast forward to he summer when he was 32 years old.  The pain was intense, and he feels like he was very aggressive at working on a project.  It also looks like he contracted a mild bacterial infection (like a meningitis??) that he could not fight off because of the weakened immune system.  Oddly, he didn't react with a high fever, but he did have swelling in the brain.  It looks as though an antibiotic relieved this condition, but it didn't totally go away (he needed a stronger or longer dose??).  When the meningitis returned, it hit him with a vengeance.  The pain and headache pressure was so much that he ended up self-medicating, and inadvertently had a reaction that resulted in his death.

A very sad story to a physically, emotionally and energetically amazing being.  Love and light be with him. -Lynn

There's a lot of mystery surrounding his death. I read in the newspapers that it was because he had an allergic reaction to a pain-killer medicine he took which caused a swelling in his brain.

So you're saying the root cause was a head injury to his brain a few years before he died? Did he sustain this injury while filming a movie set?

Wow what amazing insight, thanks Lynn!

Sadly the nunchaku ping-pong video is not as it seems - it is from a 2008 Nokia commercial for their N96 Bruce Lee edition cell phone, a digitally composite using old footage of Bruce.

Hi Lynn,
What about Bruce Lee's son, was it simply an accident or something more?

@Cyber: I did get the root cause was an old injury that never healed. The pain killers were the ultimate trigger though.

@mgm: I know that was a commercial (but still cool so I wanted to share). His energy was all over it. :-)

@Nurse1277: I did feel something more sinister with that. Bruce had such beautiful energy, I didn't want to take away from it doing something darker on the end.

Lynn- that was beautiful. He was truly a great person, and I think anyone could tell by watching him. It was almost as if his vibe could be felt through the screen even if you were miles away from where he was. I’m still in awe when I watch any of his movies or short videos like the one above. You can do his son another time, I agree with you about keeping this post happy and positive. We all need more positivity these days ;) You do a great job, I love your posts!

MGM he also did a video with matches and a few others that was not digitally manipulated. He was really great at what he did. :)

I wanted to ask— where is he now? Is he one of the enlightened ones looking over us like Buddha, Gandhi, etc or did he move on or even come back to earth?

That’s not Bruce Lee. Nokia hired an actor for this ad to promote their smartphone!

@RL: He was truly a good person. I feel like he hasn't incarnated yet. He is looking over us now. :-)

@Deedubau: I know, but it was a cool video I wanted to share. His energy feels very connected to it also, but I am aware it was a for a commercial. :-)

Deedubau I was disappointed to find that its CGI, but I could totally see him doing something like that though, he was the best— he even beat chuck Norris! :)

He injured his back while weight training. Recently, I saw a video a doctor did on Bruce's death and he said similar things as you. He over medicated on his back medicine and that's what did him in. Bruce's original medical opinion was that he'd never walk again. Because Lee wanted to be a big movie star, he continued the strenuous weight lifting and kung fu workouts and needed more and more meds because his back couldn't take it. "Game of death" (his last movie)was finished without him. There are lots of rumors about him completing more of his original version than is shown. Lynn, what can you see about more of Bruce's unreleased "game of death" footage? does it exist?

@Seahorse: I do think that footage exists and is somewhere safe. Thanks for the comments and sharing info- I had not heard that about his back, but it makes total sense.

There's a new song called Bruce Lee by NCT 127. I love it! What does he think of it?
