Backwoods Kentucky... Something Strange Going On

Q.  I follow and several subreddits of a similar subject, and came across an intriguing story in which your input could be valuable. What is going on in Kentucky?  The story involves a woman’s unexplained encounter while hiking at Red River Gorge, Kentucky with her husband and friend at night after the park was closed. I am very open-minded, but don’t automatically assume anonymous stories I read on the internet are completely true. In this case I believe the woman telling this story is telling the truth.  She seems sincere, is open to questions and scrutiny, and is consistent in her search to make sense of what happened. I’m going to provide you with a link to the original Reddit post which describes the full-context of the encounter in several paragraphs. I will also cut/paste the text of the relevant section which describes the encounter with an unknown being as well as photos of the sketches she made of the being:

Cut/Pasted Text:
"Now we’re hiking down semi flatish area, compared to the downhill hike wed been doing. The log fence or hand rail or whatever it’s called is on our right side. We are in a row walking within reaching distance of this barrier. My husband just stops walking altogether and says, “what’s that,” but the question is more of like an alert and I move my hand lamp in that direction and don’t see anything at first. Then both of his lights catch a shape. My head lamp catches it and I move my hand lamp to center and catch "it" while my friend simultaneously finds "it" in her lights as well. All six lights shine onto "it" and kind of reflect off of a light grey creature. It is bent in a crouching position kneeling on its right leg and starts turning towards us. It starts to slowly stand and my mind is racing. It looks human, but it is too big. People mistake human shapes for what’s actually bears in the woods often, but this is skinny. It is thin and big and almost white.  It’s so light grey and it’s skin resembles dolphin skin. There’s a shine to it and our lights get reflected a little when they’re on it. It gradually comes to a full standing position in front of us. It’s head is long and its eyes are in a human position on the face (in front and not on the side like animals).  I could not see any other facial features. Just big almost empty holes or pits that were it’s eyes. It looked directly at us and our lights. The way it stood was intimidating, almost like when a snake raises up and flexes their necks all crazy to show prey they’re stronger and smarter. It was like it was stepping up to a fight. From crouching, then turning, then standing in front of us.  The arms hung down low and the hands seemed long too. It’s hands had to be by its knees? I’d guess it stood 9 feet or so and not that far in front of us. No hair at all and it’s head was large as well. I couldn’t process what I saw and was frozen."
*There’s a similar post involving unexplained phenomena at Red River Gorge that is highly disturbing. It may be helpful in providing additional context into the geographical area:

A.  When I focus on this, and put myself at the time of this event, I do see that this story is true.  They are describing this event just as they experienced it.  I can feel the confusion followed by the intense fear.

What I really want to know, is what was in that woods.  I do get deep in the woods, especially where humans don't typically roam, there are many inter-dimensional creatures wandering about.  I see it happens more at night because the air feels different when it is void of the sun.  It has nothing to do with hot or cold, but rather a heaviness seems to leave at night.  I also see they come out more during a full moon.  This person didn't happen to mention a full moon, but I can tell that the surroundings feel "illuminated" as I am looking around.

The real question is, Was this a true Wendigo type being?  I want to say yes.  This was not made up, and this being they encountered feels very low dimension.  There is some kind of vibrational property to this location that draws these types of beings in (if there a special rock or geology here?).  I see what they (the people in this article) see, and as this Wendingo looked at them, I also hear some kind of hissing sound.  It appears that the mouth was small and there were small holes around it, and when air blew through them they made a hissing noise.

I also get that they don't typically attack unless they feel threatened or are hunting.  If they are just wandering, most times they are ok (but it is hard to know if they are hunting or not....).  I also get that they hate silver. It burns them.  If you carry silver, or wear it, I hear they will smell it and avoid you.

And that was all I was able to pick up on.  Please feel free to leave a comment below, and I'm happy to address your questions.

Love and light, Lynn

Pretty interesting story and observations by Lynn. Seems like sasquash has a lot of interdimensional company in remote settings, and that accounts o encounters with these beings are reflected in the mythology we called horror stories. These creatures avoiding silver remind me of werewolves while the dark Elite that live off the blood of children and adrenochrome reflect vampires. What a world!

Do the creatures have names? Like how humans have names like Steve or Karen? What is their social life like?

Bigfoot are actually really nice. I bet a bigfoot would protect a human from a low-vibe creature, if the situation presented itself.

Lynn, would a silver coin in a pocket be enough for the creature to smell, or would it need to be exposed to the air?

Folks in India and Pakistan used to carry crossbows and silver bolts to protect against rakshasas, which sound very wendigo-ish.

Oh, and of course we have silver bullets for werewolves and vampires. ;)

Thanks for the comments, everyone!

I do think carrying a coin in your pocket would be enough. They are very in tune to both the vibration and the smell.

I don't see that they have names. There is a bit of "hive consciousness" that they use to communicate, so names aren't really necessary.

Well I am now naming all of the Steve.

@TheOnlyOne: I like that. :-) Steve is a good choice.
