The Wall Showdown, What's Going On?

Q.  The issue of the Wall and government shutdown is all over the media.  In my opinion the standoff isn't about not wanting the wall (it was favored in 2006), it is about the Democrats not wanting Trump to succeed in fulfilling his campaign promise.  This battle over politics is so bad that a Go Fund Me campaign was created to fund the wall by the people because representatives won't come together and create a border security compromise that "the people" clearly want (almost $16 million has been donated so far!!).  As a counter measure to the Wall campaign, someone started a campaign called "Ladders to Get Over Trump's Wall" which in reality goes for legal aid for people crossing the border illegally (but makes no sense to me as to why this would be wanted or even supported because legal crossing would not need this).  What is going on here?  How long will this last, and what will happen?  I'm curious of your thoughts.

A.  This is a powerful topic that carries a lot of energy around it (I can't emphasize how much there is!).  Emotions are high, and people very divided.  As I tune into this, it feels like a whirlwind of things going on.  Some is emotion based (lots of anger and frustration) and some is agenda, and very calm methodical thought.

Israel Wall
As I try to get to the very beginning of this (trying to see this as a story unfolding), it looks like several years ago (decades) when the country was in a different place, border security, or the illusion of border security, was important.  I see that a certain amount of "drug smuggling" was permitting by one of the "ABC" agencies of the government.  The "permitted" amount created a huge black market revenue stream for a lot of people.  A wall, fence, or monitored border was encouraged (building helped the economy), also helped people to feel more protected, but still didn't hinder the "permitted" revenue stream from happening.  Everyone felt to still win here.

Fast forward to now, and the agenda and plan is much different.  Building a wall, even though in some ways sounding barbaric (I see an image of ancient times where wall would surround a fortress), is still effective.  I flash to different areas of the world that still use strict border control and walls, and it does work (Israel?).  This ancient security system, with a few modifications, still works.

This message was on bullying, and she was
"bullied" for wearing this pink dress..
So the question I put out there is, "If it works, why would it NOT be wanted?"  I see (pretty clearly) people on the left (especially very far left) need votes, and need to grow a voter base.  Their current voter base isn't as strong as it was, and many people in general are growing tired of government and political tactics (saying one thing, and then doing what is in the best interest of corporations or lobbyists).  This method is one of the driving forces (I get) in Trump getting elected in the first place.  So, the democrats need to start a new way of thinking, or get a way to win people back to their side.  One way is to get people emotionally invested in their cause through anger and outrage.  (I hear) Some things are justified, but the focus is to spin anything and everything Trump does as "bad" or creating news out of nothing (I get an image of Melania in a pink dress, and then a image of her in high heals- not because it's news, but because of her association) has been adopted as "news."  So many things are taken out of context it is a challenge to "stay in the middle" regardless if you are left, right or in the middle.

Moving forward.... in addition to the emotional investment, democrats need to grow a voter base to solidify their position.  They have gotten many colleges and universities on their side.  It is frowned on in many schools to be a conservative (so they stay quiet, they don't disappear).  The next surge will be to get undocumented people here and voting.  Many undocumented people need some kind of government assistance, and by having dependent people, you have people that want to vote for many of the social systems that democrats promote.

Trump sees this agenda for what it is and wants to stop it.  I hear a conversation in my head, and one voice is Trump's and the other sounds like an interviewer.  I can't tell if this is his thoughts, if this played our of if it is yet to happen.   It is emerging something like this:
T:  Walls work.  We need a wall.
Interviewer:  Don't they seem archaic?  Isn't there something more modern that is effective?
T:  Like I said, they work.  Look at Israel.
Interviewer:  What will you do if it doesn't work?  That is a lot of tax dollars.
T:  Walls work.
Interviewer:  Are you willing to compromise?
T:  We need a wall, the compromise must still fund a wall.  I promised a wall, people voted for a wall, and I'm building a wall.
Interviewer:  Why do you think the dems are resisting?  What can you do to help this pass?
T:  The dems resist most things this administration is for.  I tried to offer millions a pathway to citizenship, and the dems resisted.   No matter what I do, they will resist.

... and this goes on and on and fades away.  It feels like a back and forth that goes nowhere.  I'm left with the impression that Trump will compromise, but he has grown tired of trying to give people what they want, and still being met with resistance.  I see him willing to accept a deal, but it will have to incorporate funding of a wall.  He is very aware of the GoFundMe campaign, and realizes many people want the wall.  It was part of his platform when he ran, and his ego is ramping up and wanting him to not back down.  He knows he needs to accomplish this for the 2020 campaign.

The Senate Dems will be forced to submit somewhat to this, and even with that they will spin this as a "win" (I feel this intense anger, but somehow spinning the story makes them feel better???).  I get this standoff will last for another week, and be settled close to the New Year.  I see him getting his wall in the end (but I also get it will be called something else, but it is in reality a "wall").

And that is all I have for this reading.  Love, light and peace be with this incredibly tough situation. -Lynn

Thank you Lynn for tackling these problems that we are hesitant to talk about. I can imagine so many of these "representatives" getting rich at our expense.

When you talk about those who want drugs and human trafficking to continue as the reason to oppose the wall, my mind immediately goes to the CIA which has been a force of evil since its inception. Hopefully Trump dismantels it forever as JFK wanted to do in 1963, and much of the FBI at least at the top is not much better.

I recommended to Trump that he write an Executive Order making George Soros' Connecticut estate the country's official sanctuary city for all illegals. That would solve a lot of the problem pronto and be cheaper than a wall! Another strategy would be to offer any would be asylum seeker a free plane ride from Tijuana to Canada and watch Justin Trudeau's eyebrow wigs slip off from sweat as his sanctimonious bluff is called.

It is absolutely true that colleges and universities are working very hard to enforce militant liberal anti-Trump and anti-Caucasian thinking among its students. You would be mortified to know what kinds of ideas and falsehoods are being taught and encouraged among college students. The kinds of activities that are allowed and sanctioned by the university and some of its staff are frightening and scary. I cannot speak for every college, but it is very evident among the UC System in California.

I think that the president will get his wall, I am not sure we really need it. Why don't we just cut off all funds for illegal aliens, maybe confiscate any business hiring a illegal alien. Anyway the wall is not to keep bad people out it is going to be used to keep the Americans in after the incoming calamity. Believe the chimp.
