Hypnopompic Hallucinations and Twilight Sleep

Q. Many people, or even most people, who experience hypnopompic hallucinations (hallucinating right before falling asleep) see spiders and shadow figures. Why are spiders and and shadow figures so prevalent in hypnopompic hallucinations and the spiders and figures actually entities as opposed to just hallucinations? Thank you 
A. Our reality is composed of several layers, and some of those layers are not able to be seen due to our physical 3D constraints.  That doesn't mean that those layers are not there, or that those layers don't impact or influence us, they just aren't readily visible. I get that in the process of going to sleep our mind is relaxing, and our rational mind is starting to quiet down.  This allows an opportunity for some of the other layers to be seen.  The other layers contain lower vibrational entities (that take the appearance of spiders, etc), and higher vibrational entities such as angels and peaceful beings. 

At the sleepy, semi conscious and more active subconscious state of being, it can be easier to pick up on the lower vibrational beings, making them visible (and even memorable).  The higher vibrational beings are there to protect, and balance out the energy, but may not be as memorable.  We tend to focus on the negative part of an event or memory (as part of our flight or fight defense).  

I do see these spiders and shadows as lower vibrational beings (that manifest into this shape).  I also get that if you do have this experience, tell it to leave just as you would any other being.  You can do this mentally or out loud.  You can also call on your guide to escort it out of your space and direct it to where it is better served.

Synchronicity ! I just dreamed yesterday that i talked to a spider. I didn't see it directly, but "knew" it was one. It said to me "mentally" : "We could have hurt you, just now outside. You should be more careful next time."

I would like to continu the discussion, but i needed to do something else. It responded me "yes, of course i wait". And see this string of spider web going up and making the form of a cross. The feeling was right, neutral, no danger, more like it was there and just gave me an advise. I woke up right after, so this discussion finished there.

Other experience with bad things. during a dream i woke up (still in dream) in a bed full of aggressive Big wasp/hornets buzzzing every where, very fearfull moment. I tried to escape by the very close door, but feeling it was too late... I stopped and said aloud "i don't want this ! It is not for me! Stop !" with my hand forward and a clear intention... every thing vanished !

Bad entities seems to try a lot of tricks this time. But i managed to stop them more consciously now. It is because of the rising of vibration and they are desesperates for low vibration energy ?

Both my mother and I have the "spider-seeing" gene. We've learned that when we start seeing spiders, we need to get more sleep. It has a lot to do with fatigue and stress-levels, just as sleepwalking does.

Just before falling into sleep is where I feel and "know" the innumerable protective and concerned beings/consciousnesses. They beam their very strong intention to protect Earth and those beings upon it. Last time, I felt layers and layers of these beings--it was like Grand Central Station.

This is why it's so important to ground and protect and set intent prior to sleep. It only takes 10-30 seconds.

For the record, I no longer believe anything "scientists" say; they don't have your best interest in mind.

Last night I just had that and I saw an image of my son being lifted in the air, it really scared me because it was clear and I tried to catch him and puf he was gone... this started last year after the passing of my dad... I don't see spiders but crazy things...

As a child my mind's eye seemed to be more open while I was falling asleep, and I would get these images "behind my eyes". After being exposed to scary images (movies, tv, etc.) I started seeing things that were unsettling. Eventually, I shut it down. Now that I'm older and trying to open up my mind again... the feeling seems familiar. it's like, "Oh, I remember doing this as a kid.." Makes me wonder about all the "boogeyman" stories.

I experienced the same as a child. I vividly remember seeing an image of a/the devil, he sort of resembled the devil Tim Curry played in legend, bending down towards a little boy who was standing in front of him. This image, which was small, appeared on a wall of a room I was sleeping in. I was either half awake or half asleep at the time.

I see these images quite often when I meditate or immediately prior to falling asleep. I often see people moving towards or away from me. They never acknowledge me, it's like I am watching a movie. They last a few seconds and I don't recall ever having the same experience twice. Thanks Lynn.

I saw one huge tarantula on my pillow few weeks ago..it was like a dream but as reality also..very scary

I agree! Grounding and protecting helps me SO much, my kids too! We all have a little routine before we go to sleep. :)

Hi Lynn, I must take this opportunity to tell of a micro sleep I had while watching TV. I dozed off for what appeared to be about 10 seconds. I saw a being very close to my face. This being appeared androgynous with beautiful golden hair and the most striking crystal blue eyes,.while I looked straight into the beings eyes I kept repeating ,show now fear ,show now fear.The being kept looking at me...then I awoke. Would you please clarify this for me..It felt quite special...around the month of October this happened...

Alzheimer Patients and Sun downing I believe is relative to this subject.


They say Fading light in the late afternoon is a trigger for Sun downing symptoms .

I believe symptoms that were applied to Sun downing are just the body and mind starting to relax and because the person had Alzheimer's they fidget an rebel .

Some one without Alzheimer's could process that relaxing an sleep was on its way . If we hallucinate about spiders or smokey movement we can still take the steps to process it .

Frequently Alzheimer , dementia folks would hallucinate before they made it to bed.

Fidget , rebel, temper tantrums they might have leading up to going to sleep.

Their is a snake under the covers that has to be let out of the room or the group of people standing in the living room that have to be escorted out first.

I met a lady during the time I was care giving for the elderly named Kelly Kiernan Ray . She wrote a short book pertaining to her experiences growing up dealing with ghosts, bad luck and dis function and healing .

I really utilized that book after I had a experience taking care of a retired naval officer who got Parkinson's and dementia .

I would stay over at night so the wife could get rest . I had a baby monitor next to the couch to listen if Vern would need help . I would say about a week before he passed away he started having conversations in his room . Questions that to him someone somewhere was answering. He went through a whole process of getting his affairs in order in this conversation . There would be periods of quiet after he would ask a question that would be followed by things like " I understand" "No , my wife would not know what to do." The last question he asked was if he could ask a question . He wanted to know if who he was talking to was Satan and after he asked the question he was silent and then responded by saying "I thought so."

Later that night when I was starting to fall asleep and what I felt like was a dream . I felt like i had a physical body and a soul body and that my invisible soul body was being dragged down the hall way in the house by my leg . Like my physical body was watching this happening . For some reason I said "You can't do this I need to take care of Vern." The minute I said that it stopped completely and I woke up .

The book by Kelley had a section about claiming space . I started claiming space for the people who could not and me to . Usually more then once a day . Then I think it was mentioned on psychic blog spot about envisioning surround by white or gold protective light ?

omg i would see these giant black spiders all the time right before falling asleep! scared the life out of me! haven't seen in a long time thank god!
