Reiki

Q. Is Reiki really a con by the dark side? I've heard that the Reiki symbols create negative effects and attract nasty entities. Was it a positive system that got corrupted by dark influence?
A. I get that Reiki in it's truest form is a beautiful, healing thing.  It is only "dark" if people approach it with negative intentions (extort money or work toward anything outside the greater good).  The practice itself is rooted with high vibrations.  If a lower vibrational person practices lower vibrational activities and labels it "Reiki," it is NOT Reiki, but rather something else all together.

The focus of Reiki is using the energy of a higher, more intense source.  I see that some people may imagine the sun, the universe, light or the earth.  The energy of those sources are funneled through the person and onto the recipient.  The sources are positive in nature, therefore, I see the energy flow being a positive experience for both the person doing the Reiki and the person receiving.

The symbols look to strengthen the intent behind the healing and also enhance the energy flow.  They feel like an amplifier to the natural flow that is already occurring.

I get that as more focus is put into homeopathic and holistic healing, people will put discouraging information on the web and other sources.  Drug companies are threatened by this alternative healing, therefore, do not support the legitimacy of this type of healing (and evoke statements that create an emotion of doubt and fear).  I hear to be objective and listen to your intuition to guide you.

And that is all I have for this reading.  Thank you.  Love and light-

[I have not yet been attuned.  This reading is from a psychic, intuitive perspective.  For Reiki masters out there, please feel free to add to this.  I see Reiki as beautiful and want to be certain to share knowledge as I see there is disinfo out there
dissuading people.]

I took one class....All it is, was holding your hands lightly above and below the area of need...and similar to a battery cable..imagine a flow of love (light..god..whatever). This reduced the sick-time for my child by 2 or 3. I would rub my hands together and place them for only a couple to 5 minutes.....usually once a day. More is better. I would however visualize all this love..and pray at the same time...for the body to go to its natural divine state of health. Cheers to all. Thanks Lynn :)

I can personally vouch for the great effectiveness of energetic healing, having had it done on myself and family members over the years. Quantum Touch was a simple method most people could learn to practice, but of course there are those naturally gifted that can do much more with focused intent. I met someone on this board who is a fantastic healer and who worked remotely on a family member with great effect, averting a health disaster.

The Reiki codes that were posted here a while back are also effective and quite simple to use.

Several years ago, a good friend of mine had a benign brain mass (about 3 cm across) that was healed after three Reiki sessions. He went in for his follow-up MRI and it was negative! The doctors were stunned, and thought that my friend had had radiation treatment on the mass. He told them he did not have radiation, that he had 3 reiki sessions, and the mass was GONE! He is in good health and is doing well now.

I received master Reiki attunement in 2015. For me, it is a very high vibration and beautiful form of energy healing. The symbols are powerful, I feel good energy each time I use the opening symbol, like I am bringing in healing source energy to the person I am working with.

I mentioned before a Reiki healer I know from personal experience is very effective at doing remote healings, but wanted to hear back from her asking permission before posting her contact information. If anyone is looking for a gifted healer I'd like to suggest Andreia Sardo, who is also a follower of Lynn's blog. Andreia offered great assistance with a family member and even sent me energy at a point I was completely stressed out which I immediately felt a calmness I didn't have before. I highly recommend her to to anyone and she can be reached at andreia.sardo@gmail.com

When I learned Reiki I thought it was interesting when my hands would get warm. Initially, I thought it was the other person, but then I learned it was me.

But, one time I had a NDE (near death experience). I was in 'another world.'I was laying on my back and I had the impression that I was looking towards my feet the way you would if you were laying down and raised your head slightly up. Or I was postured directly behind my head and watching myself from behind my shoulders. I don't know for sure. But I looked towards my feet and I saw a woman to my left that was kneeling beside me with her legs tucked underneath her. She was around 45-50 and she had shoulder length, brown hair. I looked towards her and she had a very serious look on her face. Me, being a guy; also remarked that she was good looking and that she 'looked smart'.

She leaned over me and her hands were outstretched and positioned beside each other. Her hands were held steady about 3,4 inches above my abdomen and I remarked that she was doing Reiki on me. I was surprised that someone in Heaven would be doing this. She never looked at me, never wavered and took her job seriously.

I don't know if she was doing this because I was familiar with it. Or if she was doing it because it had a genuine medical benefit that we are only vaguely aware of now. I have never read about people experiencing Reiki in other NDE's. At least the ones I have read about. But I won't forget what I experienced and what I saw. There is much more to the NDE, but this is the only part related to the Reiki.

*I deleted the one above for typos.*

Does anyone here know whether reiki can heal a heart damaged after a heart attack?
If the answer is yes, how to get the healing?

I became a Reiki Master in 2001 I do not believe it can be used to harm. It was a wonderful experience for me. I used it for family, friends, pets etc. Long distance healing. Sometimes you don't know if you made a difference or not. I hope I did! If you think I can help
Alex, let me know.

@Alex I'm a reiki healer and I was able to heal someone with an enlarged heart and hypertension. He has been okay since then.

@Raymond G: I experienced sleep paralysis last month where it was pitch dark and it was the first time in a long time where I felt truly scared (after all the attunements I got in hundreds of energy systems, my fears went to almost zero because I sort of knew how to defend myself). In this Inception like dream, I was even trying to peer if I could see a dark entity or demon. I tried to scream and nothing came out and i tried to move but I wasn't going anywhere. I tried to see if I would wake up but to no avail. I started dreaming that I was walking in the dark and throwing the reiki symbols and kept saying CHO KU REI even though there was nothing coming out. I woke up finally with a pain in my jaw from all my attempts to shout my daughter's name. Instinctively, I knew that reiki will help clear out any negative energies around.

I'm a Reiki Master and I can attest that it is a truly positive practice. (Curious to know where you heard it was dark or controlling? If you are coming across writing that states it's used for dark or controlling purposes, that is NOT reiki! That's something else that has nothing to do with healing.)

There are many books out there that describe Reiki in depth and they are all worth a read. I do not know exactly where it originated, but it is indeed VERY ANCIENT. It resurfaced again in Japan many, many years ago by a lovely lady whose name I cannot remember, but you can find mention of her name in many Reiki books available today.

A great book that describes Reiki in detail, "Hands of Light," author Barbara Brennan. There are so many other great books.

We all the have Reiki ability to some degree. It is activated by an Attunement. Think of it as "passing the Energy," from one Reiki person to another. The use of symbols made in the air with your hands is part of the practice. There are several videos on You Tube that describe the symbols and how to make them.

There are many in conventional medicine that think Reiki is hogwash. However, Reiki has worked for many even if very gently, and it is slowly making it's way to hospice centers if patients request it. At the very least, it helps the person relax and is healing for both giver and receiver.

Thank you for all the beautiful comments. Reiki feels like a very powerful and beautiful thing when I focus on it and see it being used.

I got a free complimentary massage yesterday at work and she used Reiki on me a few times. At one point, she placed her fingers/hand on the back of my neck and I can feel the warm energy force traveling down on my spine (like a domino effect but in slow motion). It released a lot of tight knots and stressed muscles.

It was my first experience and it felt great afterward. Does anyone know how long the treatment can last? I only got a 10 min massage and I'm ready for another one already :D

I wish I know how it was done so that I can use it on my love ones.

@SkyBlue.....When I was taught Reiki we used Barbara Brennan's, Hands of Light. It might be useful to you as well.

@ Raymond, thank you! The blog is great. I'll check out the book.

Essential Reiki by Diane Stein was the go to book back when I was studying to become a Reiki Practitioner. Back then you did not give out the symbols. Glad that that has changed. It makes the practice more available.

I recently had my first Reiki session at the beginning of October 2015.

I had a dear friend die June 2013. Since we shared expenses as roommates, my life changed in many ways. His death was abrupt (he chose to leave by not treating an advanced-stage illness).

During his period of dying, I had weird experiences. I'm "intuitive" but certainly NOT telepathic nor psychic. Yet, at times, I felt information was "dumped" in my mind. I had to tell him, e.g., exactly how the manner in which he died and my interplay would form a karmic connection in the future. Weird, totally weird. In fact, I started having some prophecy-type of experiences where I would see images in my mind of things supposedly to happen in the future. Honestly, I wasn't thrilled--because, in most instances, they were horrific. I.e., Iran totally wiped out like a black hole on Earth through nuclear annihilation and the realization of the abject, complete loss of life there. I would end up crying and distressed. Sorry...I had been a "normal," unpsychic human being until then...and I'm an old lady.

Two fellow Buddhist ladies I know are psychic and both suggested Reiki because they felt that (1) my chakras were blocked and (2) I was about 2 feet off the ground (thereby, not grounded). Long story short, I had Reiki with one; she cleared the chakras and helped ground me. I haven't had "prophetic" type experiences since then. I've felt extremely happy, contented, and focused since that point. I hadn't realized how "unsettled" I had been. When you have an event which changes your life so dramatically as the loss of someone close and loss of income, you go into basically "flight or fight" mode, but I was happy to leave that mode through Reiki.

Reiki is, indeed, wonderful, healing energy.
